A little bit of anxiety keeps those living with food allergies aware, vigilant and cautious. Too much anxiety can have devastating effects for children and adults. It’s a challenge to keep that emotional balance. We’ll talk about what “too much” anxiety looks like and the factors that bring it on. Then we’ll talk about how to live with a balance of caution and calm.

Jeanne Herzog, Ph.D., is a lifespan psychologist in private practice in Wisconsin. She holds a master’s degree in developmental psychology from Columbia University in New York, and a doctoral degree in counseling psychology from Marquette University in Milwaukee. One of her specialties is the field of health psychology; helping people with the psychological adjustment to health and medical conditions, including having a severe food allergy. Dr. Herzog focuses on the emotional stress of living with a food allergy and helps children, teens and adults, and the families that support them, create safety plans for emotional health to deal with that stress.
